Since this is the month of June~such a HUGE month for beautiful summer weddings, I thought I would show the GORGEOUS Manor House that I am dreaming of for my daughters wedding(she's not even engaged yet!LOL)This manor house is on property in Portsmouth, RI & was part of the private, catholic, all girls school that I attended my freshman year of high school back in the 70's! I would have graduated from this awesome school had they not closed the campus after my freshman year. The school was called "Elmhurst Academy" & I was so fortunate to spend even one year at this wonderful school. I made many dear friends there & did very well academically that year. I have such happy memories of my time here. The manor house was a mansion that was built in 1921 & was part of the campus at Elmhurst. It is set on the banks of the sakonnet river amidst manicured English gardens. My art class was held in a part of the mansion & we had our "teas" (or dances) in the ballroom with the neighboring private boys schools in the area. One day approximately five years ago, on the way to a favorite beach in Newport, I asked my husband to take the turn off the main road to see what had become of my school. I was Flabergasted to see the old manor house totally restored & more gorgeous than ever. I jumped out of the car & went to the front door & was met by the caretaker & his charming wife. I told them that I had gone to school here & they were delighted to take me on a tour of the restored mansion. I found out that weddings & special events were held there & that bookings take place sometimes two years in advance! They let us roam about the property & I was convinced that this is where at least one of my girls would be married! I couldn't think of a more beautiful spot or one that held such happy memories for me. So take a moment & visit their fabulous website & view a very pretty place to hold a wedding reception! Of course my daughter Kathryn & her boyfriend Mike aren't even engaged yet, but when they are, I will be ready to plan a beautful wedding at the beautiful GLEN MANOR HOUSE! :) ~such a special place~ visit here for their pretty site > Glen Manor House

Because tomorrow is Fathers Day I thought I would capture some pictures of my dad & his girls & my Husband & his girls.
Both my sister & I claim to be both HUGE DADDY'S GIRLS (I secretly think she is the one that has him wrapped around her little finger.) My dad is the BEST dad always there when you need him & such a wonderful father & grandfather! It's easy to adore him & look up to him. I know I will be a daddy's girl even when I am 80!
My husband is also such a wonderful Dad & Grandfather! Patient, kind, hard working & always there when any one of the kids need him! I always felt that my girls had a very special bond with their dad(as well as my son). My grandaughter & grandson just light up when he shows up at a baseball game or a football game to watch them play or cheer! Check out hubby at the top with his special girls & My dad & his girls & one of his grandsons at the bottom! Happy Fathers Day to ALL the Special DADS out there! Hope your Day is wonderful!

Garden season is here & I'm up to my ears in plants!LOL! Trying to keep up with my garden clients & my own gardens is hard work but sooooo enjoyable. It's so rewarding to design something in your head & actually plant it & see it come to life just the way you pictured it! My own gardens have started out a bit slow due to the awful cold spring weather we experienced here but are catching up & starting to bloom like crazy! Just when I think I can sit back & enjoy them,I think of something else I can add or something I can move. If only we didn't have to keep beds weed free we'd be all set! Hope you are all having fun in your own gardens! :)

Our grandaughter Gabby (Gabriella) suprised us with a wonderful book of poems that she compiled for an english class project. Her teacher had each students book of poems published & the outcome is AWESOME! Take a look at this very professional looking book :)! The poems are very sweet (especially the one in the picture about her very best friend Nicole!) Gabby is in the sixth grade this year & will be heading to the middle school next year. She is getting old way to fast & so is GRANDMA! LOL!!! We are so proud of GABBY & her WONDERFUL book of poems! XO
